
Adirondack Outdoorsman Show set for Gloversville
The Fall Edition of the Adirondack Outdoorsman Show will take place on Saturday September 13th & Sunday September 14th at the Concordia Club Pavillion & Grounds (10am - 6pm each day). The Concordia Club is located on West Fulton Street Extension in Gloversville. This new expanded site is just 5-10 minutes from the site of our previous shows (J'town Moose Club). Directions to the new location are listed in the "Directions" Tab on the front page of our site.
The show will be geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fisherman and Outdoors Enthusiasts. Exhibits containing items for sale pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, archery, trapping, boating, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter services, taxidermy, snowmobiling, 4-Wheeling, collectable knives, antique hunting & fishing gear, wildlife art & books and Adirondack Art & Furniture.
The new expanded location will not only allow us to add many new vendors, it will also allow our customers much more shopping room (elbow room), more parking spaces and enable us to now hold seminars and demonstrations throughout the Clubs Grounds. In addition to the actual show (in the giant pavillion), the event will also host:
(1) A 30 Station 3-D Archery Shoot
(2) Iditorod Dog Racing Demonstrations by the Outlaw Dog Sled Team
(3) A display of every NYS Record Fresh Water Fish indigenous to Upstate NY (compliments of DEC)
(4) Outdoor Activities/Learning Demonstrations for children (compiments of DEC)
(5) Trout Pond
(6) Rock Climbing Wall
(7) Fly Tying Demonstrations
(8) Fly Casting Demonstrations
(9) ADIRONDACK ART SHOW; with featured artist Karen W. Hauser
(10) Black Smith forging Steel Knives on premises (have your own custom knife made in front of you)
(11) Birg Dog Demonstrations
(12) Book Signing by Author Donald Wharton, author of "Adirondack Forest & Stream"
(13) Book Signings by Adirondack Author/Historian Don Williams, who returns with all his past works
(14) Book signing by Robert Elinskas, author of "A Deer Hunter's History Book" & his newest book (Title to be released)
(15) Book signing by Spider Rybaak, author of “Fishing Eastern New York” and “Fishing Western New York.”
(16) Book signing by Dr. Randall Gilbert, author of "Deer Hunting A-Z" and his newest book (Title to be released)
(17) Meet writer Rob Streeter, weekly outdoor columnist for the Times Union and author of "Warmwater Fly-Fishing" (book signing)
(18) Meet writer Ron Kolodziej, weekly outdoor columnist for the Amsterdam Recorder and one of only seven NYS hunters to hold the coveted World Slam Title for Turkeys (Ocellated/Gould’s/Merriam’s/Rio Grande/Osceola/Eastern).
(19) Meet writer Ed Noonan, weekly columnist of the Daily Gazettes “Outdoor Journal.” Also one of only seven NYS hunters to hold the coveted World Slam Title for Turkeys.
(20) See a display of Record Whitetail Deer Mounts provided by The Wildlife Sports & Educational Museum. Museum founder Bob Kazmierski will be on hand to educate the public about the museum.
(21) Boat Building Demonstrations
(22) Search & Rescue Demonstrations by the 5-1 Search & Rescue Team
(23) See a full blown 1800's Campsite by the NYS Trekkers (this demonstration is pending)
(24) Calling Demonstrations
Demonstrations & Seminars will be held throughout the entire weekend (complete schedules to be posted at the opening of the event). More being added each day!
Admission to the event is Free to all children (under 21) and $5 for adults.
